May 29, 2007         Home Sweet Home           in Pensacola!
It has now been four and a half months that we have made our home in Pensacola, FL.  We still say we absolutely love the place!
We have made friends, found a home church, and even found the best local fresh fish market.  The beach has quite a variety of activities.

"Maria's" is the place to get fresh fish when you are in Pensacola - unless you catch it yourself.  With our good friend Mark West working their we have been blessed to sample many varieties at home and at Marco's Mansion.

Pompano anyone?
We both have a great time Body-Surfing!

Jubilee International Ministries is our home church in Pensacola.  As you can see from our pictures it is a church that really puts a strong emphasis on praise and worship.  What makes Jubilee so special is that it is a church based on relationships.  Never have we gotten to know other people so quickly then when we first passed through these doors.  The  people just welcomed us with open arms, and have become our good friends.  You can check it out at their website.  www.jubileeintl.org
All of the arts are a big part of the ministry at Jubilee.  During every worship service there are people painting incredible masterpieces that are on display throughout the church.  This is Keith Goodson who is world known for his amazing paintings.

Feature Artist Show
at Blue Morning Gallery
Christine along with two other artists, Pauleene Smith a painter and Monique Webb a Jeweler, were the featured artists at the Blue Moringing Gallery.  The featured artist show was called "Celebrating New Beginnings."  It ran from July 22 - August 25 with the reception evening being July 27th.  These are some pictures from the reception.  Blue Moringing Gallery is a Coop art gallery of all local artists in many different mediums.  Christine has been a Coop Member since this past March with her photography.  www.bluemorninggallery.com or www.christinechandler.com
Artist members helped out and Sweet Prospects played their Celtic tunes.  Wine, punch, and food was served to all  who came through our doors.
It was so wonderful to have the support of friends from church.  We were very surprised to turn around and find our Pastors (above) here.  Then more of these friendly faces started coming in.  It was such a fun evening.

3408 Edinborough Court is the soon to be NEW Chandler Estate!
YES!  We got our piece of land here in Pensacola, FL.  Ironically this piece of land was one of the first that we looked at when we first moved here back in January.  At that time there wasn't a "For Sale" sign on it, and later when one did appear the price was too high for our budget.

Now six months later it is ours, and we have started the process.  We know that it was only through faith and the Lord's favor that this land is ours.  It has actually sat for 27 years without anyone building on it, and it sits in a well developed neighborhood.  We know that God saved it just for us and for such a time as this.

So, just remember what this land looked like when you come to visit us next year at "The Chandler Estate."

SCUBA DIVING
CERTIFICATION
We always try to do something special for our anniversary.  Last year we were in Venice, Italy.  The year before that we went up in a hot air balloon. So this year we learned to scuba dive and get certified.  It has been something that we have wanted to do since we now live by the ocean.

Every night during the week we spent three hours learning in the classroom and in the pool.  Then Saturday and Sunday were the open water ocean dives.  ...And WE DID IT!!!  It really was great and look forward to many future dives.

The Wedding of Becky and Dale
Weddings are always such fun, and Becky & Dale's was definitely a great celebration.  We are so glad that we were part of their special day in Atlanta.
Coffee the next morning visiting with Judy (Becky's Mom) was such a blessing that I enjoyed so much.  So many years to catch up on.
